Ping Monitoring Sensor
The Ping sensor conducts a standard ICMP echo request to your target host, measuring the response time and packet loss.
If the ping fails with 100% packet loss, a traceroute is also performed to assist in diagnosing the problem.
Parameters
Hostname or IP
The hostname or IP of the host to ping.
Allowed packet loss
Defines what percentage of packets lost will be considered a failure. A packet is considered "lost" if we receive no ICMP reply within the timeout period.
Timeout
Number of seconds after which we consider a ping packet lost. Default is 5 seconds.
