TCP Monitoring Sensor

TCP Connect Speed Graph The TCP Connect Sensor provides performance and availability monitoring of any service bound to a TCP port. Upon establishing a TCP connection, the sensor verifies that your target server responds with the specified greeting text.

Parameters

Hostname or IP
The hostname or IP address which the service to be monitored is bound to.

TCP Port
Specifies the TCP port on the target host to be monitored.

Expected text
By including expected text, for the test to pass the suppled text must be found somewhere in the greeting supplied by the service after connection establishment. Prefix this with regex: to do a perl-compatible regular expression match.

Timeout
Number of seconds after which we consider the monitored service to have failed if no response is received. Default is 15 seconds.
